Who is it for?
This course is aimed at newly promoted line managers or part of a continuous development programme.
What is it about?
This course provides an introduction to conflict management. Conflict happens in all walks of life, the key is not to ignore it but to manage it in a practical and proactive manner. Conflict and confrontation often occur together and there are differing ways to best manage conflict as each situation is different. The reason why conflict occurs, is because we all have different values and beliefs and perceptions. if they are not dealt with effectively, there is a risk that the conflict will jeopardise what needs to be achieved and losing therefore the benefit of productive and positive relationships. Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in practical exercises aimed at testing a number of different conflict techniques
