Who is it for?

This course is aimed at newly promoted line managers or part of a continuous development programme.

What is it about?

This course provides an introduction to leadership expectations and opportunities to explore decision-making and problem solving tools. The course covers leadership skills, communication skills, team building and roles, motivation and team performance, stress management, change management. Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in practical exercises aimed at testing a number of different leadership skills. Learners are also made aware of stress management techniques and processes for inducting new staff.

Prerequisite

  • There is no prerequisite for this course. It functions as a stand-alone course.

  • You will receive a course binder containing copies of presentation slides, exercises, and suggested solutions. Most importantly you will complete the course with a Personalised Action Plan.
